3DE Club Workshop: Parks & Rec.

Toy Design with 3D Printing Workshop at the London Nelson Community Center

Santa Cruz, CA – Sep 30, 2025: 3D Entrepreneurs (3DE) Club hosted an exciting “Toy Design with 3D Printing” workshop at the London Nelson Community Center in Santa Cruz, bringing creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship together for local youth.

Over the course of the program, students learned how to design and prototype their own toys and products using 3D modeling tools. Guided by 3DE Club mentors, participants explored the entire creative process — from brainstorming ideas and designing in 3D software, to preparing files for printing and developing short business pitches for their creations.

The workshop culminated in a Final Pitch Day, where students proudly presented their 3D-printed toys and product ideas to family and friends. The energy in the room was electric as kids shared not just what they made, but the stories behind their designs — combining imagination with practical problem-solving skills.

Launching January 2026 at MAH’s dynamic downtown Santa Cruz location, the Hub will become a premier destination for youth of all backgrounds to spark creativity and develop entrepreneurial mindsets through immersive experiences with innovative 3D printing and emerging technologies.

Santa Cruz, CA – Jul 20, 2025: 3DE Entrepreneurs Club (3DE Club) and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH) Event Hosts a Successful 3D Toy Design Workshop. 

The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History came alive with creativity and collaboration as over 60 enthusiastic parents and children gathered for the 3D Toy Design Workshop, hosted by the 3D Entrepreneurs Club (3DE Club). This hands-on session blended innovation, imagination, and entrepreneurship, offering kids ages 8–12 an inspiring glimpse into the world of 3D design and product creation.

The purpose of the event was to introduce families to the 3DE Club’s online after-school program, designed to build real-world skills in creativity, communication, critical thinking, and confidence—essential tools for the next generation of changemakers.

Young 3DE Innovators Pitch their Creations at the School Fair

Palo Alto, CA – Jun 9, 2025: At Imagination Lab School (Palo Alto), 14 students embarked on a dynamic exploration of creativity and entrepreneurship through the 3DE Club’s immersive pilot program. Across five intensive 2-hour sessions, these young visionaries transformed their ideas into tangible prototypes, mastering 3D modeling and printing tools to bring their concepts to life.

The program reached its pinnacle at a lively pitch and showcase event, where students not only delivered confident presentations on stage but also hosted interactive booths. Engaging parents, peers, and visitors, they showcased their prototypes through real-world-style product demos and displays, radiating entrepreneurial spirit.

The passion, confidence, and ingenuity on display underscored a powerful truth: with the right platform and guidance, young creators can rise to any challenge, paving the way for a future of bold innovation.

From Idea to Impact: 3DE Club Pilot at PES School, Davenport

Santa Cruz, CA – May 29, 2025: Over six engaging one-hour sessions, twelve fifth- and sixth-grade students at Pacific Elementary School (PES) in Davenport dove into the exciting world of entrepreneurship and 3D design through the 3DE Club pilot program.

From brainstorming creative concepts to mastering 3D modeling and crafting physical prototypes, these young innovators brought their ideas to life with enthusiasm and skill.

The program culminated in a vibrant pitch event, where students confidently showcased their creations to an audience of proud parents and community members—many presenting publicly for the first time.

This transformative pilot demonstrated that with the right tools and mentorship, young minds can dream big, innovate boldly, and build the confidence to shape the future today.

Santa Cruz Works generously provided a dedicated table space, where Fiona shared her coral-themed pencil organizer with professionals, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts in attendance.

Fiona's Triumph: How the 3DE Club Sparks Young Entrepreneurship

Santa Cruz, CA – Feb 28, 2025: Ten-year-old Fiona, a founding member of the 3D Entrepreneurs Club (3DE Club), wowed the audience at the NextSpace conference by pitching her innovative coral-themed pencil holder. In a single live presentation, she sold over 14 units, generating nearly $300 in sales!

Fiona's success embodies the mission of the 3DE Club, a dynamic program designed for kids ages 8–12. Through hands-on activities, the club empowers young entrepreneurs to design, prototype, and market real products while developing essential skills in leadership, financial literacy, and public speaking.
